SALLY FINDS A HOME |
ABOUT THE AUTHOR |
ANITA HELLYER has been writing since her brother encouraged her to join the high school newspaper staff. More recently, she has been a correspondent for her local newspaper, and she produced the newsletters for her local Corvette Clubs, winning two national awards. Born a city-girl in Indiana, Anita and her husband eventually settled in the Missouri countryside. She embraced country living and has learned everything from becoming a Master Gardener and preserving her own produce, to swimming in a farm pond. On lazy summer afternoons you are apt to find her at the edge of their lake with a fishing pole in her hand, and Sally by her side. She and her husband found Sally through a Golden Retriever rescue group and adopted her in 2002, from the Granite City Animal Protection Association (a no-kill shelter). Sally’s gratitude and unconditional love changed their lives and inspired this book.
