PS... I loved your sister's web site and her book.  The dog looks like Daisy and her descriptions of Sally resonate.  This is important because Daisy is dying.  She would be 14 in August.  I doubt she'll make it that long.
When you have a dog who has been as much an intimate part of life as Daisy has been for us, for nearly 14 years, it is indeed losing a dear friend.
As Matthew says, "The fidelity of a dog.  Do you think that is an accident?"  I mentioned her in my dissertation acknowledgments.  I called her "Daisy Fidelio" to disguise the fact that I was acknowledging my dog!
Tell your sister thanks and have her say hello to Sally for me.
